Nancy Carol McCrath, a beacon of selflessness and unwavering family devotion, passed away peacefully at her home in Grand Ledge, MI, on November 10, 2025. Born on February 11, 1947, in Grand Rapids, MI, daughter of Charles and Doreene (Wolf) McCrath.
Nancy was a graduate of Caledonia High School. She dedicated many years to the State of Michigan in the Department of Social Services, and then Nancy's warm and welcoming nature found a new home at Fabiano's Pizza and Deli, where she worked for many years, endearing herself to colleagues and customers alike.
Family was the cornerstone of Nancy's life. She is survived by her loving son, Brian McCrath; her cherished grandsons, Timothy and Jeremy McCrath; her treasured great-grandchildren, Mila, Braxton, and Faith; her brother, Walter McCrath; her sister, Sandy Scheib; and her half-brothers, Cliff and Paul McCrath. A host of nieces and nephews also remember her fondly. Her light shines on through her family, though they will miss her dearly. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Doreene (Wolf) McCrath, and her beloved granddaughter, Erica McCrath.
An avid sports fan, Nancy's enthusiasm for the Detroit Tigers and the Green Bay Packers was infectious, and she enjoyed cheering on her teams surrounded by friends and family. Her love for her dogs, Comet and Oliver, was a testament to her caring spirit. Nancy loved taking trips to the casino with her son Brian and always enjoyed hanging out with her many friends, who she loved dearly.
Those who knew Nancy will forever remember her as the beloved mother, grandma and great-grandmother who always put others before herself. Her legacy is one of love, kindness, and the joy of giving. Her life was a testament to the power of putting family first, and her memory will continue to be a guiding light for all who were blessed to know her.
As per Nancy's wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in loving memory of Nancy to the Pancreatic Cancer Society or the American Cancer Society. For online condolences please visit www.millsfuneral.com
