Dr. John William Grignon

November 28,1938 - March 8, 2026

Dr. John William Grignon was born to Eternal Life on Sunday, March 8, 2026, at the age of 87.

John was the beloved husband of the late Sharon Rose Grignon, with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Karen Waters, John Jr. (Lindsey) Grignon, Susie (Todd) Scholz, and Robert (Devonie) Grignon. He was a proud and loving grandfather to Taylor, Zach (Josie), Nick, Evynn, Cameron, Ian, Ashton, Jillian, Paxton, Aubrey, and Aiden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Kallie, Axel, Knyt, Charlie, and Lainey.

Dr. Grignon earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force, completing a dental internship and oral surgery training at Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, Illinois.

Following his military service, Dr. Grignon practiced dentistry and oral surgery at the Teamsters Health Center. He became one of the founding dentists at

Dental Associates, later becoming Chief Dental Officer, providing leadership and guidance across the organization and supporting the work of dentists and staff throughout the clinics.

Dr. Grignon was also deeply committed to advancing the dental profession. He served on the Wisconsin Dental Examining Board from 2007 to 2013, including as Vice Chair from 2012 to 2013. He was also a longtime member of the Waukesha County Technical College Dental Advisory Board beginning in 2001 and served as Chair starting in 2011.

John will be remembered for his deep love of family, his steady leadership, and the pride he took in each generation that followed him. Friends and colleagues always said how much they enjoyed his stories. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, mentor, and friend.

The family extends a sincere thank you to Agrace Home Hospice and Church and Chapel Brookfield for their compassionate care and support. A heartfelt thank you to his grandson Nick for selflessly being by his side until the end.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, April 20, at Hoeppner-Horn Bros. VFW Post #5716,17980 W. Beloit Rd., New Berlin, from 4-8 PM. A memorial service will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by military honors at 6 PM.
