John Grimes, age 65 of Pitcairn, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Born on August 9, 1959, to the late Elizabeth J. (Metzgar) Grimes, John's life was a testament to the power of positivity and the strength of family bonds.
John was the beloved husband of Tammy (Miceli) Grimes, with whom he shared 43 years of unwavering love and companionship. He was a loving father to his daughters, Brandy (Bobbi-Jo) Grimes and Brittany Grimes, and a devoted grandfather to Avery and Nora, who were the light of his life. John's legacy of love extends to his siblings, Richard (Ginny) Grimes, Linda (Bill) Hughes, Donna (Len) DiNaples, Bob (Dena) Grimes, and Sue (Jeff) Haberland, as well as his mother-in-law, Carole Roberts, father-in-law, Mike Roberts, and sister-in-law, Jodi Miceli. His life was further enriched by the affection of many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss him dearly.
Jack's infectious humor and legendary sense of fun made him the life of every party. His larger-than-life personality was a joy to behold, especially when paired with his brother-in-law, Bill, with whom he shared an exceptional bond. Known for his optimism and loving nature, John was the kind of man who could light up a room with just his presence. His father/daughter lunches were cherished moments, filled with laughter and love, and they stand as a testament to the incredible father and grandfather he was.
Aside from his family, Jack had a profound love for his dogs, Charlie and Shontzie, who were his constant companions and brought him immense joy. His love for animals was just another facet of his caring and compassionate personality.
Jack's life was one of dedication and joy. He was a man who put his family at the center of his universe, and his absence will be felt deeply by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His funny, loving, and optimistic spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will continue to inspire those who loved him to find happiness in the everyday moments.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Christian Life Church, 900 7th Street, Trafford, PA 15085. Arrangements are entrusted to the JOBE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, INC. 445 Beatty Road, Monroeville (412-856-4747). www.jobefuneralhome.com.
