John Halla Obituary
He was preceded by the death of his father Louis Halla, his mother Joan (Ohlrich) Halla Stransky and longtime girlfriend, Sherri Newquist Grey.
John is survived by his sister Sandra (Halla) Brinlee and her husband Tim of Tennessee. John was a great uncle to his 2 nephews Eric of Colorado and Alex of Maryland.
John had deep passions. He adored his late dog Scitech and Hoss, his current golden retriever. John was able to see his loving furry friend before he passed.
John was a caring brother, great friend and neighbor. John kept in touch with many friends from far back getting together for golf, fishing, dinners and outings. He enjoyed living by the lake and relaxing with his boat.
John enjoyed music, especially The Who. As John left JourneyCare of Barrington the song Bubba O'Rielly was played to say good-bye.
Rest in peace John. You were quiet, reserved, yet social and fun. You will be missed. If you see a hummingbird say Hi. It may be John. He loved them.
Visitation will be held on Saturday June 7, 2025 from 10 a.m. until the service hour of 11 a.m. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. Burial will take place at Lincoln Memorial Park.

So sorry to hear one of my peers from the class of 77 has passed on. John was a great guy and I´ll sure miss seeing him at our 50th class reunion. My thought and prayers are with him and his family.
