John Haslitt, Sr. Obituary
John Parker Haslitt, Sr., age 77, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2023. He was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of Houma, La.
A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
John is survived by his son, John "Johnny" Haslitt, Jr. and wife Danielle; granddaughters, Hayden and Avery Haslitt; brother, James "Jim" Haslitt, Jr. and wife Judy of Baton Rouge; nephew, Chris Haslitt and wife Lee of Baton Rouge; niece, Amy Hanik and husband Mike of College Station, Texas; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.
John is preceded in death by his parents, James Haslitt, Sr. and Beverly Shoemaker Haslitt.
John was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He enjoyed playing bingo with his friends at the nursing home and having monthly dinners with his former classmates. John loved nothing more than spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
