Norris dedicated many years to his career as a mechanic, earning respect and admiration while working at Farm All Truck and Tractor, Schoeffler Cadillac and then at his own mechanic shop. His mechanical skills and strong work ethic were a testament to his character, but perhaps his most meaningful contribution was as the owner and operator of Hebert's Trailer Park for 43 years. This endeavor was more than a business for Norris; it was a labor of love that he devoted much time and energy to.
A proud member of the United States Army National Guard, Norris served honorably and carried that spirit of service throughout his life. His love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for deer, duck and hog hunting, as well as bass fishing, pursuits that he enjoyed and created cherished memories with family and friends. Norris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Gayle Suzanne Hebert; sons, John Robert "Robie" Hebert (Michelle) and John Oldon "Odie" Hebert (Nicole); and grandchildren, Danielle Dupuis (Andre), Andre Hebert (Kaylee), Sophia Hebert and Olivia Hebert.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Oldon Hebert and Ruby Louise Guidry Hebert; twin sister, Doris Hebert; godchild, Nita McNulty; brothers-in-law, John Walter "Bozo" Hebert, Jr., Artie Hebert and Michael Banks; and sister-in-law, Mary Ann Hebert.
Pallbearers will be Robert Hebert, Odie Hebert, Andre Hebert, Andre Dupuis, Polo Mouton and Gabe Mouton.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lane LaRose, John Wiltz, David Solis and Frank Cuccio.
