John grew up in Georgia. He attended Monroe High School. After graduating high school, John attended Savannah State College before going to serve his country in the United States Navy for 32 years. It was when he had shore time in Subic Bay, Philippines where he met his wife Teresita. Upon his retirement from the Navy, John began working for USPS serving his community as an electrician before retiring again at age 77.
John enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Mariners and Georgia Bulldogs. He also enjoyed going to Muckleshoot Casino to play bingo with his wife and their many friends.
John would do anything for his family and worked hard to provide for them. He loved having his family all together, especially for the holidays. John made everyone who knew him laugh, cry and clap at all the stories he shared. Our family is grateful to know that John is finally at Peace.
John is survived by his wife, Teresita Cochran; his son, Carlton Cochran and wife Melinda; his son Jon Cochran; his daughter, Djomme Adia; his daughter Sharon Tillmon; his son Jonathan Cochran and wife Staci; his daughter, Jasmine Cochran; grandchildren Charles Tillmon, Sharese Tillmon, Sharmaine Tillmon, Indigo Adia, Marwan Adia, Ayesha Cochran, Carl Cochran, Majidah Cochran, Carlton Cochran Jr., great grandchildren Arista and Athena; many other loving family members and countless friends.

I was a friend of John stationed on whidbey Island 69 to 71. He always talked about a large family and l see he got his wish. I am so sorry for your lost and we did'nt keep in touch. I am Herman Hebert from Port Arthur, tx. May God bless you.
