John C. Hernandez Jr., 61, of Visalia, California passed away on February 18th, 2023.
Visitation will be at 4:30 PM followed by a Rosary at 6PM on Monday, March 20th, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic church in Visalia CA. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Friday, April 14th, 2023 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Visalia District Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hadley-Marcom Funeral Chapel.
John was born in Visalia, California to John C. Hernandez Sr. and Marcellina Hernandez on August 6th, 1961. He went to Redwood High School. He married Emma Marquez Hernandez on July 2nd, 1995. John worked in construction for various companies and was a part of the Laborers Local 294 & 304 of Northern California District Council of Laborers for 29 years, retiring in 2010. He enjoyed watching his San Francisco 49ers on Sundays, cooking his famous tamales, and taking his 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic out for a cruise with his wife Emma. John was a member of multiple car clubs, Kleen Car club being the last. He enjoyed working on his car, hanging out with his friends, and received many awards for his 1975 Chevrolet Caprice. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be truly missed.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Marcellina Hernandez, John C. Hernandez Sr., sister, Jennie Lu Hernandez, son John C. Hernandez III, and grandparents Trinidad Contreras, Calistro Hernandez, Carolina Sedillo, Nicholas Macias.
John is survived by his wife Emma Marquez Hernandez, children Robert Montion (Melissa), Marisa V. Hernandez, Matthew L. Montion (Dallas), Eric Montion (Laura), Stephanie Krohn (Christopher), and Alexander V. Hernandez, sisters Magdalena Serrano (Felix), Angie Briseno (Frank) and various Grandchildren and great-Grandchildren.
