John Thomas "J.T." Hindle, 75, of Bel Alton, Maryland passed away on March 19, 2024 at Sage Point Senior Living Services in La Plata.
J.T. was born on June 20, 1948 to the late Raymond Hindle and Helen Hindle. He was in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division during Vietnam before being Honorably Discharged at the rank of Sergeant. J.T. then served with the Charles County Sheriff's Office as a Law Enforcement Officer for many years before retiring. He served on the Board of the Charles County Fair, actively supported local 4-Hers, and was a member of the La Plata United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, J.T. was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Lynne Hindle and brother, George A. Hindle.
He is survived by his son, Jeff Hindle and his wife, Jen; siblings Louise Stine, Nancy Elrod, Buddy Hindle and Louis Hindle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 12 noon at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with the Reverend Dr. Susan Boehl officiating. Interment to follow in the Dentsville Methodist Cemetery, East Charles Street, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Memorial contributions may be made to the La Plata United Methodist Church (3 Port Tobacco Road, La Plata, MD 20646) or the National Kidney Foundation (Attn: Gift Processing at National Kidney Foundation HQ, 30 East 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016).
