John Houts Obituary

Mr. Houts was born on December 15, 1953, in Miami, FL to the late John and Kaye Houts. He retired from a career as Director of Environmental Services. Mr. Houts was a member of TrueNorth Church, where he served as a greeter and in the ESL program. John was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing and listening to classical music. He was known for his quick wit, love of the Lord and people.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Eloise Houts; daughter, Hillary Smyly (Kyle); son, Phillip Houts (Yaying); grandchildren, Charlotte, Cooper, Campbell, Russell and Huiyou; sisters, Sheri Hoffman and Mary Hale (Robert). Donations may be made to the American Stroke Association.
