John Idell Obituary
Graveside service will be held 1:00pm Friday, July 26, 2024 at Parkhill Cemetery, Chapel of the Pines Mausoleum, 4161 Macon Rd. Columbus, GA 31907. The family will have a visitation one hour prior to the service at the mausoleum, according to McMullen Funeral Home and Crematory, 3874 Gentian Blvd. Columbus, GA 31907.
John was born March 25, 1960 in Germany to the late John Carl Idell and Renate Elisabeth Matera Idell. He held a bachelor degree in accounting and was a Corporate Accountant with TSYS in Columbus, GA. He loved the game of golf and spent many hours of fellowship with his golfing friends and other fellow golfers.
John is survived by his wife, Allyson Renee Goodwin Idell, sons: John Michael Idell, Jr., Hayden Wade Idell, and his Best Friend, Pal and Loving Companion: Barney Idell all of Columbus, GA. John trained Barney to be a watch dog: "If you came in the house you could WATCH Barney roll over so you could rub his tummy".
