John Inman, born on July 16, 1942, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to George and Jeanette (Martin) Inman, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2023, in Berryville, Arkansas.
John married the love of his life, Colleen Goslee, and together they built a beautiful family. Their love story was one of mutual respect, understanding, and endless love. Their union was blessed with three children, Carleen, John, and Jeffrey.
John was a proud veteran, having served in the US Army for 21 years before retiring as a Major. His dedication to his country was a testament to his character and spirit of patriotism. His service in the military was a significant part of his life, shaping him into the man he became.
Later in life, John was a grandfather to Ethan, Isabella, and Carter Inman. His love for his grandkids was evident in their summer visits and adventures.
In his retirement, John stayed active and involved in his community. He was a respected member of HIMGA, enjoying the camaraderie and friendly competition playing golf, a sport that he passionately followed. John was also a member of HOG and owned 3 Harley motorcycles and also proudly owned 3 Triumph motorcycles. John was known for his love of riding motorcycles which brought him much joy and great adventures sinch his youth.
John also had a creative side seen in his woodworking skills. His craftsmanship was admired and some of his pieces will serve as a lasting memory. Woodworking was not just a hobby for John. It became so much more as he designed and built his brother's final resting place.
John will be remembered for his infectious energy, outgoing personality, and his dedication to his family. His memory will forever be engraved in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him. His children, Carleen and John II, and his grandchildren, Ethan, Isabella, and Carter, will carry on his legacy.
He is preceded in death by his parents George Inman and Jeanette Wilson and stepdad Bill Wilson, his brother George Inman, wife Colleen Inman and son Jeffrey Inman.
Celebration of Life will be 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Holiday Island County Club Ballroom. Military interment will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org.donate.
