Met John in Betmar riding around in his golf cart. Always friendly and ready to have a conversation. Would tell us to stop by his place for a beer. Soft spoken and respectful would describe the best. Going to miss his visits.

John, my sister Karen, and I were in the same class throughout grade school at St. Anthony and high school at Whiteford. I recall an 8th grade party where John and Karen danced to " Johnny Angel" numerous times and when he´d stop at our house as he rode his horse by. In high school study hall he´d go over football plays with teammates. I´ll remember John with a smile.

John and I were good friends, neighbors, and played football together. We road go carts and scooters together. Went to teen clubs together. He will be missed! Condolences to the family.

My name is Mary Bagley. We were neighbors on Bacon road growing up. Johnny and I had a crush on each other back in the day . One time when I got off the Bedford School bus, At the corner of rauch road and bacon road, he was waiting to give me a ride home on his horse! I will never forget that . We were in touch for the last couple of years by phone! I was so sorry to hear that he had passed. My prayers are with his family.

John and I were classmates at Whiteford Agricultural HS in Ottawa Lake MI, class of 1967. We both were on the varsity football team our sophomore year. John got his varsity letter in football that year as the center on the team. I rode the bench that year but got a varsity letter in our junior year. John was still the center, and I was a guard. Here's the team photo from our sophomore year. John is number 59 in the first row about in the center and I'm number 56 in the back row. We had an undefeated streak going and were league champs both our sophomore and junior years. His girlfriend then was Mary Ann Bieber, a cheerleader.

John and I were classmates at Whiteford Agricultural HS class of 1967. John got his varsity letter in football his sophomore year as the center on the team. I rode the bench that year and had to wait until I was a junior to get a varsity letter in football as a guard on the team. We had an undefeated streak going in both our sophomore and junior years and were league champs both years. I'll try and come back and post our sophomore team photo.
