John “Jack” Francis Meagher, age 90, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love of his devoted family. He was the beloved husband of MaryLou Meagher (Camenzind); the cherished son of the late John Edward Meagher and the late Frances Meagher (Uelk), and beloved brother of the late Barbara Reagan.
Jack and MaryLou have been blessed with 65 wonderful years of marriage. Their faith has been the foundation of their lives exemplified in raising their children to know love and serve God.
Jack was a loving and proud father to Dan (Mary) Meagher, Kathy (Dan) Lartonoix, the late Tim (Jacqueline) Meagher and Patti (Derek) Vogt. His legacy continues through his treasured grandchildren; Dan Jr. (Gina) Meagher, Mike (Hallie) Meagher, Sean (McKenna) Meagher, Kelli (AJ) Hohmann, Matt Lartonoix, Tom (Mallory) Lartonoix, Josh Vogt, and Scott Vogt; and through the 15 great-grandchildren who brought endless joy and sparkle to his later years. He was also a loving uncle, cousin, and friend to many, known for his warm smile, easy laugh, and willingness to help anyone in need.
Jack served his country with honor as a member of the United States Army. Then he built a long, fulfilling career in property management. A gifted craftsman and avid woodcarver, he found joy in shaping beauty from simple pieces of wood; an expression of his patience, creativity, and steady hands. His craftsmanship reflected the way he approached life: with care, dedication, and heart.
A devoted parishioner of Assumption Catholic Parish for 55 years, Jack lived his faith quietly but sincerely, guided by humility, service, and gratitude. Above all else, Jack’s greatest devotion was to his family. He placed their happiness, wellbeing, and togetherness at the center of everything he did.
Jack’s memory will be carried forward in every family gathering he helped build, every piece of wood lovingly carved by his hand, and every life he touched with his gentle spirit.
He will be profoundly missed and forever remembered.
May he rest in God’s eternal peace.
