John (Jack ) Stewart 1937 to 2023
Jack Stewart passed away Saturday evening January 14th 2023. He was 85 years old. Jack was a devoted husband of 64 years to his wife Ellen and loving father of three kids. He spent his 27 year career as an engineer at GA Power and his retirement working the 100-acre farm he loved in Covington Ga. Throughout his life he had many talents that he shared with us all. Photography, country western dancing, restoring old cars and making videos of his family. He also was a teacher, a friend, a loyal husband, a great dad and kind to all he met. He never passed up a chance to help somebody that needed it.
He passed away peacefully due to complications with COPD.He had spent the day surrounded by his family being his usual joking self. He was proceeded in death by his son Mark in 2018. He is survived by his wife Ellen, daughter Susan and son John. He has 6 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Jack will be laid to rest this Friday the 20th at 2:00 PM at Ingram funeral home in Cumming, GA. The viewing will be Thursday the 19th 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory, 210 Ingram Avenue, Cumming, GA 30040.
