John served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1953. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church in Duncan, Oklahoma for 65 years. John was employed by Halliburton for 40 years, retiring in 1994.
In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors and working with his cattle and, when he got the chance, you could find him at the tennis courts playing his favorite game. He and his son, Harvey, were very competitive and spent many hours playing tennis doubles together, beating their opponents as often as they could.
Together with his wife of 65 years, Evelyn (Fehring) Jacobi, they raised their family in Duncan, OK. John enjoyed spending time with his family and when he became a grandfather, he loved his grandchildren and as they grew, you could find him at the soccer field cheering them on. When great-grandchildren began arriving, he enjoyed being with them as often as possible.
John is preceded in death by his dad, Albert Jacobi; mom, Mary (Hendricks) Jacobi; brothers: Frank Jacobi, Andrew Jacobi and wife Mary, Albert Jacobi and wife Lois Helen; and sisters: Anna Capuccio and husband Pat, Nellie Fehring and husband Bernard.
