John Joseph Jasionowicz, Jr. December 5, 1948 – December 13, 2025
John Joseph Jasionowicz, Jr., 77, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025. Born on December 5, 1948, John lived a life defined by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and service to his community.
John was the beloved husband of Judy (Warzecha) Jasionowicz, his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, with whom he shared 55 wonderful years of marriage. He was a proud and loving father to John Jasionowicz III and his wife, Tana, and Dr. Jodi Jasionowicz and his wife, Dr. Helen Giannakopoulos. Nothing brought John more joy than being a grandfather to John Jasionowicz IV, Joshua Jasionowicz, and Jack Jasionowicz, whom he adored and supported wholeheartedly.
He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Robert Warzecha and his wife, Rosemary Warzecha; his step-sister, Deborah Kostic and her husband, Robert Kostic; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his father, John Jasionowicz, Sr., and his mother, Josephine (Presti) Jasionowicz.
John earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from Bloomfield College, laying the foundation for a lifelong career in finance and leadership. Professionally, he enjoyed a successful career with Excel Storage Products and Koehler Bright Star, Inc., where he served as Chief Financial Officer. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to excellence left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike.
Outside of work, John had a passion for fishing, golf, boating, helping others, and DIY projects. He especially enjoyed working with his hands on projects around the house. He was deeply involved in his local community, particularly during his sons' younger years, volunteering extensively with Little League Baseball in Rutherford, New Jersey, where he served as both a coach and a board member. In later years, John continued his commitment to service as Treasurer of the Pine Ridge Residents Association, generously giving his time and expertise. He especially treasured time spent with his grandsons at the Jersey Shore and took great pride in watching them compete in baseball and wrestling.
