John Alan Jessing 58 of Langsville, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Holzer Meigs RD. He was born on August 27, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the office manager for Family EyeCare LLC.
He enjoyed shopping, eating and pet dogs. John was a fisherman, boater, riding his motorcycle and his electric bicycle. He really loved his family and friends.
John is survived by his fiancé, Jennifer Annon; children, John Frank (Hope) Jessing of Lancaster, Amanda Ellene (Fiance’ Mike Newsome) Jessing of Columbus and Colton Scott Jessing of Etna; grandchildren, Adara Marette, Sherri Marie and future grandchild, Xena Leigh along with four additional grandchildren and his uncle Wallace “Wally” Carey of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by is parents, Jack Jessing and Bertie Hall and his grandmother, Ruth “Mom” Carey.
Funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the FRANK E, SMITH FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, LANCASTER, OHIO. Caring Cremation® to follow.
Friends may visit from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
