JONES
With profound sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of John “REV” Edward Jones, age 49, of South Charleston, whose life was marked by loyalty, passion, and an unmistakable presence that will never be forgotten.
A proud, longtime member of the Rare Blood Motorcycle Club, John lived by the values of brotherhood, respect, and commitment. The open road was his sanctuary, and riding his motorcycle was more than a pastime – it was freedom, purpose, and connection. His dedication to the club and regular attendance at events reflected his deep sense of loyalty and the bonds he cherished with his fellow riders.
Beyond the roar of engines, John had a soul full of music. He found joy in singing his favorite Elvis memories, often bringing smiles and laughter to those around him. Music ran through him, whether singing aloud or being seated at the drums, where his rhythm spoke louder than words.
Above all else, John was a devoted family man. His greatest happiness came from time spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. He embraced every moment with them – offering love, laughter, and memories that will be carried forward for generations.
Those who knew John will remember his strength, his humor, his unmistakable voice, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of passion, loyalty, and love that will continue to ride on in the hearts of his family, friends, and certainly in his brother and sisters of Rare Blood.
John leaves behind a strong legacy of love through his loving wife Katherine “Kate” Jones; children Alexandra Jones, Danielle (Ronald) Gardner, Ashley Jones (fiancé Chad Valentine), Daniel Watts, Gabbie (Dathan) Pollard, Healeah (David) Findley, and Hayden Watts; grandchildren: Liam, Payton, Millie, Iris, Wheeze, Juicy Booty, Caleb, Vivian “Marmalade”; mother Veronica Stires, father Daniel Jones; brother C.J. Jones, sister Lynne Jones; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Howard and Esther Eleanor (Jones) Gerhart and maternal grandparents Everett and Dorothy Roby; brother Daniel Lynn Jones; uncle Everette Roby, and aunt Peggy Kelly.
The Jones family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A heartfelt funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, and interment will follow in Kirkwood Cemetery.
Though his journey ended far too soon, his spirit rides on – forever free, forever remembered.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in John’s name may be sent to London Rare Blood MCC Chapter, 2174 State Route 56 SW, London, Ohio 43140, to aid in giving back to the community.
