In his early years he liked to ride his motorcycle across the United States. He loved to garden and replant his flowers. John loved taking his great-nephews for rides on his equipment when they visited him at his farm. In his work years John started out in skilled trades as a pattern maker for various companies in the metro Detroit area finishing his career at GM Flint having retired after working for them for 33 years. Memorial donations can be made to the Sisters of Providence at St. Mary of the Woods College in memory of John's aunt, Sister Maureen Cecile, SP. (3301 St. Marys Rd. West Terre Haute, IN 47885)
