John Thomas Keener, 40 of Ashland, died Wednesday November 1, 2023. John was born November 9, 1982 in Ashland, Ohio. He graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Engineering in 2010 from DeVry University. He married Ashley Murdocco in 2015 and the two spent 13 wonderful years together. John worked for American Axle Manufacturing for the last 4 years and constantly mentioned how he finally found people he truly enjoyed working with.
John was truly a jack-of-all trades, enjoying farming, working on everything from computers, tractors, metal and woodworking and anything with an electronic component. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and the light of his life, his son Colin.
John will be deeply missed by his wife Ashley and son Colin; parents Thomas D Keener and Thelma J. (Barr) Keener, brother Guy (Deborah) Keener of Ashland; sisters Jenny (Paul) Uebel of Ashland and Katy Keener of Jeromesville; nephew Cory Barrick; nieces Mariah and Sarah Keener; and in-laws Tony and Jean Murdocco of Suffield, Ohio.
John was preceded in death by his grandparents Ben and Mary Barr and Guy and Harriet Keener, Uncle Art and Aunt Pat Barr.
Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel will be assisting the family. Memorial Services will be Saturday November 11, 2023, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Jackson officiating.
