John William Kennedy, 77, of North Garrard, formerly of New Hampshire, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. Born in Barre, Vermont on July 7, 1948, he was the son of the late George and Pauline Woodward Kennedy.

Early in life he owned his own tractor trailer and would haul large equipment. John retired from UPS as Manager of the Northeast District after 25 years. Upon retirement, they moved to Kentucky. John enjoyed restoring vintage cars and attending car events. He also enjoyed fishing and traveling in his RV.
John was a member of Centenary Methodist church and the VIM (Volunteer in Missons) team. He especially enjoyed working on the Chapel.

John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Martha Ordway Kennedy of North Garrard; son, Peter Kennedy and his wife Kate of NH; sisters: Carol and Susan; and a brother, George, Jr.
Visitation is 4:30 PM-6:00 PM, Friday, October 17, 2025, at Centenary Methodist Church. Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 PM with Rev. Chris Morgan officiating. A graveside service will be in Contoocook Village Cemetery in New Hampshire at a later date.
