John Marlin Ketron, born on May 20, 1948 in Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025 in Mansfield, Texas. He was a dedicated professional who made significant contributions in his career as a manager at Ken's Auto Parts and as the owner of his own auto parts business. His love for cars was a defining aspect of his life, inspiring passions that extended beyond work into his personal endeavors, where he built motors and raced cars at Cedar Creek Drag-way.

John was not only known for his work ethic but also for his vibrant personality. His laughter resonated with all who knew him, as he embraced life with a warmth that made him never meet a stranger. He formed lifelong friendships and left a lasting impression on the community around him. His interests included fishing, mechanics and caring for pets, always taking in a stray animal.

John's legacy will continue through his beloved family. He is survived by his son Perry Ketron and wife Melissa of Wills Point, his daughter Sharon Ketron of Mesquite, his daughter Stacie Pack and husband Bart of Mansfield, along with 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life.

He was preceded in death by several cherished family members, his wife Jackie Ketron, grand-daughter Molly Michelle Honeycutt, his grandmothers Ruby K. Thompson and Lillie Bell Coats, grandfathers Paul M. Thompson and Beverly Johnson Ketron, mother Margie Marie Simons, father Albert Perry Ketron, sister Nyoka Elaine Ruff, sister Teresa Paulette Guthrie, brother Beverly Lee "Bud" Ketron and his son Sam, step son Greg Parks, brother-in-law Cecil Wayne Minshew, nephew Edward Joe Ruff and his daughter Cecil and many other cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation for John will be held on September 10, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at Emerald Hills Funeral Home & Memorial Park located at 500 Kennedale-Sublett Rd, Kennedale, TX. The burial service will follow at 12:15 PM.

John Marlin Ketron’s life was a celebration of joy, love, and deep connections, and he will be missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
