John Ray Kimbrell Jr.

John Ray Kimbrell Jr., age 61, of Fort Mill, SC, passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025, peacefully at home. The family is hosting a celebration of life that will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Doby's Bridge Presbyterian Church. A gathering will be held at Kimbrell Farm immediately following the service. Born in Charlotte, NC, he was the son of John Ray Kimbrell Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Dulin Kimbrell. He was a 1981 graduate of Fort Mill High School and he was a member of Cornwell Presbyterian Church in Blackstock, SC. John was the owner and operator of Carolina Concepts Lawn Care. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids, hunting, camping, old tractors and spending time outdoors. Surviving is his wife, Sherry Boone Kimbrell; his children, Coullt Kimbrell (Gabi), Lane Kimbrell (Jamie), Anna Kimbrell (AC); stepchildren, Ben Deason (Dana), Sarah Deason, Jake Deason (Catalina); siblings, Mary Sherman (Laughton), George Kimbrell (Julie); grandchildren, Logan, Adalind, John Luke, Ellie; his three nephews and his dog Jax Henry.
