John "Sarge" Kime was born on May 23, 1961. He grew up in the Sturgis and LaGrange area, attending both Sturgis and Lakeland High School.
After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served in Nevada, Louisiana, Korea, and Hawaii.
John was a father to Andrea and Allison; a big brother to Alisa and Michael; a son to Barbara and Richard; and a grandpa, uncle, cousin, coworker, and friend to many more.
He loved Notre Dame, motorcycles (but NOT Harleys), cats, history, and rock music, and he was a fan of many TV shows. If he ever had made it onto Jeopardy!, he totally would have won.
When John was younger, he enjoyed hanging out with his friends, but as the years went by, he preferred staying home and keeping his own company.
John passed away in his sleep.
He was loved and will be missed.
Celebration of life services will be at a later date.
