Mark A. Caldwell

Mark A. Caldwell, age 65, of LaGrange, died Monday, February 23, 2026, at 2:25 a.m., following a brief illness at The Waters of LaGrange, Indiana.

He was born December 11, 1960, in Kendallville, Indiana, to Edward and Marjorie (Brady) Caldwell.

Mark was a 1980 graduate of Lakeland High School and earned an associate's degree from ITT Technical Institute. He had most recently worked for Supreme Corporation in Goshen, Indiana. He had a strong interest in computers and electronics and enjoyed learning how they worked and how to repair them. He was an avid movie watcher with a particular passion for science fiction films. He was known for his kindness and intelligence and lived courageously with schizophrenia for most of his life.

Surviving is his daughter, Brooke (Mike) Richardson of Mongo, Indiana; a granddaughter, Sunshine Richardson; his mother, Marjorie Caldwell of Kendallville, Indiana; and a brother, Dennis Smith of Kendallville, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Caldwell; a sister, Valorie Strunk; and three brothers, Craig Caldwell, Doug Caldwell, and David Caldwell.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan Street, LaGrange, Indiana.

Graveside services will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in LaGrange.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Mark's memory to The Waters of LaGrange Memorial Fund.
