John Fraser Kinney

John Fraser Kinney, born February 3, 1942, 83 years old, of Nolanville, Texas passed on peacefully in his sleep on January 7, 2026. Born in Los Angeles, California to George and Erna Kinney. John was married to his wife of 63 years, Barbara Raye Ivey. He joined the Air Force in 1960 and served for 20 years. John was stationed state-side as well as in South Korea and Germany. He went on to work as a civil servant and retired in 2011. John and Barbara lived in San Antonio, Texas, for 44 years before moving to Nolanville in 2021. John is survived by his wife, Barbara Kinney, his sister, Vivian Williams, his daughter, Lisa Standley, his son, Michael Kinney, and his grandson, Joseph Standley. He is proceeded by his parents, George and Erna Kinney, and his brother, George Kinney. Over his many years, John spent time outdoors golfing, hunting, fishing and camping. He was a league bowler, shot darts, and played baseball. John was also a gambler playing cards, slots and the lottery. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.
