John Kohn Obituary
He was born in Columbus on September 8, 1948, to the late William C. and Marion B. (Murphy) Kohn. After graduating from DeSales High School in 1966, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
Before retiring, John worked at Liebert as a sheet metal fabricator, putting God first in his life, he also served as a pastor for over 20 years. Dedicated to God and his family, he expressed that through his love of music. John enjoyed working with his hands and used home improvement projects to connect with his kids. He was a true handyman.
Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 54 years, Carol (Lynch), son Shawn Kohn, daughters Heather Uncapher, and Amanda (Christoper) Dickson, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers: Billy Kohn, Jimmy (Becky) Kohn, and sisters: Patty (Frank) Crawford, Sandy (Fred) Feldman, nieces Jennifer VanDyke and Ashley VanDyke as well as other extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son-in-law Tom Uncapher and sister Maryanne VanDyke.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 30th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, 637 N. St. Rt. 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074, where services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, beginning at 12:00pm with Vera O'Neal officiating. Burial will follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
Services have been entrusted to Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel.
