John Lampton Obituary
He was a photo engraver for Fawcett Dearing Co. and retired from the old Southern Gravure Services and member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents, John B. and Catherine Lampton; and brothers, Bob and Pat Lampton.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elise Zeillmann Lampton; children, Denise Lampton, Tim Lampton (Norma), Laura Lampton, Paul Lampton (Donna) and Jennifer Lampton; sisters, Susan Lampton and Beverly Taylor; brother, Michael Lampton (Terri); eight grandchildren, Megan McMenama, Meagan E. Lampton, Sarah Hawkes (Steve), Sean (Kelsey), Abby, and Jake Lampton, Eli and Luke French; three step-grandchildren, Tonya Walker, Felicia Pryor and Victoria Monroe; 7 great-grandchildren and 11 step-great-grandchildren.
His memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas More, 6105 S. Third St. with burial of ashes in Calvary. His memorial visitation will be held Friday 2-8 p.m. at Joseph E. Ratterman & Son, 7336 Southside Dr.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Hosparus or Flaget Alumni Association.

I HAVE KNOWN JOHN AND ELISE MOST OF MY LIFE. TWO GREAT PEOPLE. THE LAMPTON AND ZEILLMANN FAMILES WERE GIFT TO KNOW AND TO BE AROUND. I AM SORRY I WILL NOT MAKE THE WAKE OR THE FUNERAL. GOING TO ND TO SEE UL PLAY. MAY JOHN REST IN PEACE. THE LAMPTON AND ZEILLMANN MEMBERS WILL WELCOM HIM HOME. HE WILL MAKE HEAVEN A MORE BEAUTIFUL PLACE. OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH HIM AND HIS FAMILY.

Elise, even though I didn´t know John that well or meet him very often, I recall Janet speaking happily of the good times with you guys. John was a long time friend. He and my husband (now dedesecesed) were in the Clavier Mens Club for many years and grew up tougher in the west end and played sports. John will join his buddies in heaven
