John Lanata Obituary
John proudly served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. He worked at Bank of Boston for many years. In retirement, he became an outreach worker for the Hull Council on Aging. He was an avid Patriots fan and loved spending time with his family.
Beloved husband of Helen I. (Salas) Lanata. Loving father of John Lanata and and his wife Meredith of Scituate; and Paul Lanata of Weymouth. Proud "Papa" of Elizabeth Lanata, MD and and her fiance Corey Mania, Steven Lanata, and Jasmine Lanata. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Tuesday 5/3 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday 5/4 prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in MA National Cemetery, Bourne will be private.
Donations in memory of John may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
