Benson, NC: Mr. John Ashley Langdon, age 70, of McGee Road passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at his residence with his loving wife by his side. Funeral Services will be held-11:00 AM Monday, March 24, 2025 at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Tim Bass and Sherman Driver. The family will receive friends from 5:00PM to 7:00PM on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at the Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
Ashley was born on August 15, 1954 in Johnston County to the late Fred Thomas and Hazel Gray Price Langdon. He enjoyed riding his John Deere tractors on his farm and tending to his crops. Ashley loved being outdoors as a young man, he liked to fish, hunt, and ride his Harley. When he had to be indoors the Andy Griffith Show would always be playing. He was a man of his word and took pride in his craftmanship working with windows and vinyl siding. Ashley loved to spend time traveling, and listening to all genres of music. He especially enjoyed quiet nights by the campfire unwinding from a hard days work with his wife. He was a dedicated member of Lighthouse Baptist Church for over 30 years. Ashley was “Pop” and “PaPa” to his two granddaughters. He was as devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Survivors include his wife, Danielle Wood Langdon; children, Jessica Narron and husband Brandon, Heather Stafford and husband, Nathan; step-daughters, Joelle Whittemore and fiancé, Jeff Dewar and Liberty Norris and husband, Walker; granddaughters, Decklyn Narron and Anna Grace Stafford; sister and brother, Wendy Langdon and husband, Tyra and Mike Langdon and wife, Susie; several nieces and nephews; and an entire community of dear friends whom he loved very much.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lighthouse Baptist Church, 1140 B. H. Parrish Road, Benson, NC 27504 specifically the Children's Ministry.
