John A. Lanius “Gunny” Retired United States Marine of Spring Texas, peacefully passed away at his home early morning of June 24, 2024. He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years of marriage, Stephanie Lanius & his extended family Freddy & Jennifer Estrada. He was born to his parents John A. Lanius Sr. & Lucy Mae Price in Houston Texas in 1947. John served 20 years in the US marines as a Non Destuct Inspector and retired with many honors. He was a high school graduate of South Houston High School. His love for sports & gardening, his loving personality & enormous heart & silly face gestures will forever be missed, & will live in our hearts for eternity. May he rest in peace until we meet again.
