John Francis Laymon Sr., 83, passed away July 18, 2023. He was born May 10, 1940 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
An intelligent man with a good personality, he was said to resemble Elvis Presley! John served in the U.S. Air Force and was a mechanical engineer. He held a patent for a DC-10 airplane built at McDonnell Douglas Aircraft in Long Beach, California.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Nora Laymon.
He is survived by his children, John Laymon, Jr. and Christian A. Laymon; grandchildren, Nick Laymon, Brittany Laymon, Christopher Laymon, and Kaitlyn Laymon; great grandchildren, Triston, C.J., and Cecelia Laymon, and Auriella Arrigo and Emery Arrigo; and ex-wife, Colleen Ogle Laymon.
The family would like to acknowledge the special care given by the staff at Legacy Nursing and Rehab Home.
