Korina Marie Laymon

Korina Marie Laymon, age 58 of Milford, MI, passed away on April 6, 2025. Korina was the best wife, mom, grandma, sister, aunt and friend that anyone could ask for. She was a proud cancer survivor and was grateful for every day God gave her to spend with her family. She faced each obstacle in life with grace and never let any misfortune in life make her bitter. She could handle anything that came her way standing tall. She was the strongest person you could know. She was especially proud to be a grandma and spent all the time she could with her grandchildren Kennadie and Mason, they were her entire world. She was someone you could count on for anything. Family was everything to her and she loved going on trips; especially to Mackinaw City, spending time by the Mackinaw Bridge and watching the stars at the Dark Sky Park.
Korina loved the Lord her entire life and enjoyed going to christian concerts, especially Casting Crowns and Matthew West. She was extremely proud of her granddaughter and was thrilled to watch her get baptized last year.
She will be deeply missed and always remembered for her love and kindness and the way she loved all of her family and friends unconditionally.
In our time of mourning, she would want us to remember this: "Sunflowers follow the suns light, but when it is a cloudy, rainy day, they turn towards each other to share their energy. May we be the sunflowers in each other's lives."
"Love never dies, it just picks up in another place." We know we will see her again.
Korina is survived by her husband Nicholas Laymon; son Brandon Lyle; daughters Kalie Lyle and Brianna (Chris) Smith; grandchildren Kennadie Hampton and Mason Hampton; brother Charles Burley; sisters Annie Knapp and Bonnie (Scott) McDaniel; nieces and nephews, Jordan, Kameron, Devin, Travis, Dominique, Mackenzie, Lexi, Ricky and Amber (James); siblings Missy, Lynette, Kim, Kurt, Amy and Jonathan; also many other beloved family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and many beloved uncles.
Friends may visit on Thursday, April 10th, from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11th, at 11 a.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. Pastor Tom Blount will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family.
