Michael P. McHugh

Michael P. McHugh, age 62 of Lapeer, passed away on August 18, 2025. He was born in Detroit, MI on August 5, 1963. Michael was a classic car enthusiast and loved taking trips to the Lapeer International Dragway. He enjoyed working on cars and tending to his vegetable garden. Michael was a hardworking family man and provider for his family. He will be deeply missed.

Michael is survived by his wife of 39 years, Tammy McHugh; his children Tiffany (Bruce) Fenner, Michael (Debi-Jo) McHugh, Marissa (Mike) Cesarz, Andrea (Eric) Schrouder, and Tyler McHugh; grandchildren Elizabeth, Holli, Gavin, Xander, Brayston, Walter, Camden, Evelyn, Mayleigh, and Eleanor; sisters Laurie Robinson and Sharon (Paul) Pelc; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents William Theodore McHugh and Madeline Mary McHugh; brothers Billy McHugh and Bobby McHugh.

Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, August 26, from 11-1 p.m. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 p.m. Father Ron Jozwiak will officiate. Michael will be laid to rest at Mt. Loretto Cemetery.
