Charles R. "Chic" Moore

Charles "Chic" R. Moore, age 63, of Lapeer (formerly of Port Huron), passed away peacefully at home on August 12, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on August 3, 1962, in Port Huron, Michigan, Chic was the beloved son of Richard and Carol Moore. Known for his generous spirit, easy-going nature, and infectious sense of humor, Chic had a gift for making those around him feel welcomed and uplifted.

A passionate and competitive horseshoe player, Chic spent many joyful hours at Figaro's Bar in Port Huron, where he cherished both the game and the friendships it brought him. He loved fishing, camping in Caseville, and simply being outdoors. Above all, he treasured time spent with his children and his beloved dog, Cappone.

Chic will be remembered for his kindness, easy-going demeanor, and his unwavering dedication to family and friends.

Chic is survived by his wife of 9 years, Ann M. Rice-Moore; children Jason, Chad, Luke , and Sarah Moore; step children Erin (Phil) Nadolski, Robert (Jessica) Rice, and Hannah Rice; grandchildren Morgan Nolan, and Savannah Moore; step grandchildren Leo and Silas Nadolski; mother Carol Moore; brothers Rick, Dan, and Bret Moore; sisters Jayne Moore and Kelly (Paul) Anglin; also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Richard W. Moore.

Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors - Capstick Chapel in Lapeer. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 17, at 1:00 p.m. at Figaro's Restaurant & Lounge, 1503 11th St, Port Huron, MI 48060.
