Obituary of John W. LeMire
John W. LeMire
John W. LeMire, age 85, of Lake Elmo, MN, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2024. He was born on March 8, 1939, in Willernie, MN. John was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather (GGPA), uncle and friend.
John is survived by his daughters Tracey (John) Weber and her children Alex (Bruna) Weber, Derek (Jill) Weber, and Melanee (Jeff) McCullen and her children Andrea (Gabriel) Garcia, Ashley (Josh) Mathre, Alex (Haley) McCullen, and Max McCullen. He is also survived by granddaughters Kelsey Privratsky and Shelby (Scott) Dennis, 11 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce LeMire, parents Ned and Sarah LeMire, sisters Ida Edmeier and husband John, Helen Bovee and husband Joe, brothers Alfred LeMire and wife Carol and Henry LeMire. Daughters Dawn Privratsky, and husband Richard and Dayna LeMire.
John graduated from Harding High School and spent his entire career at Sperry UNIVAC/Unisys/Lockheed Martin. In his free time, he enjoyed time at his cabin hunting, fishing, golfing and was an accomplished bowler. John loved his trips to California and made many friends there where he was affectionately known as Papa John. John cherished all the moments spent with his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
A Celebration of his Life will be held, May 10th, 2024 at 2pm at Boulder Ponds Senior Living, 192 Jade Trail N, Lake Elmo, MN 55042.
