John Wesley Leonard (age 73) also known as "Boobie" was born in Biloxi, MS June 24, 1952. He was the only child by the late
Martena Dawson (mother) and John Leonard (father).

In his childhood days he had a passion for baseball and swimming. John enlisted in the US Air Force at the age of 17 shortly
after He graduated from high school. He served a term in Okinawa, Japan as a shipping specialist/materials handler during the Vietnam war. In his later years He worked as a merchant mariner at the Port of Gulfport; shipping specialist at NASA Space Center and also the Naval Construction Battalion Center. Boobie was a jack of all trades. He was skilled at construction, accounting, and auto mechanics. In his later years he enjoyed playing poker, watching wrestling and sports, and laughing and joking with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 50 years Sheria T. and Son Brandon W. Leonard; his two beloved grandchildren, Brentez W. (Knuckle head) and Saina T. (Poodie poo) Leonard, and a host of family and friends.
