John P, 83, of Paramus, passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2024 just eleven months after his wife, Bonnie, whom he missed with all his heart. He was born in Brooklyn and raised in Middle Village, Queens by John and Jean (nee Nicolosi) LoGiudice who were both Sicilian immigrants. John was an Air Force veteran who served our country proudly during the Vietnam War. Before retiring and for the majority of his career, John worked for Verizon and its industry predecessors, but the time he spent working for the British Consulate and the stretch of the New Jersey turnpike which he designed, were some of his most favorite stories to tell. John was a man of incredibly strong faith. He was a decades long parishioner of Annunciation RC Church serving as a lector and communicant until his last days.
Cherished husband of the late Bonnie (nee Leiser) (2023). Beloved father of Jennifer Francis. Treasured "Pop" to Edward and Alexander. Dear brother of Marie Marinaccio and her husband Bill, and Susanne Mocerino and her husband Mark. Loving uncle to his nieces: Angela, Lisa, Maria and Diana and nephews: Craig and Mark and their families.
Family will receive friends on Thursday August 15, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday August 16, 2024, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 10:00 am Funeral Mass at Annunciation R.C Church 50 W Midland Ave Paramus. Entombment George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ.
As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in John's memory may be made to Annunciation RC Church 50 W Midland Ave, Paramus, NJ, 07652

We worked together at the British Trade Office back in the 1970s. What a warm and good person. So sorry to just learn of his passing.

I found about John's passing from a mutual friend just this morning - John and I were stationed at McGuire AFB at the same time back in the 60s - he was a quick study and a hard worker. He reminded us fairly often of the 1/4 mile time of his '58 Chevy - he was proud of that car! John was a guest at our wedding in 1965 as well.

We met up with him and Bonnie about 20 years ago in Pennsylvania, and had a great evening reminiscing, yet enjoying who we had become in later years. While we didn't correspond often, I enjoyed his occasional greetings and his positive attitude, which never changed through the years.

Elisabeth and I send our condolences for two lives well-lived - we are the poorer for their passing, and grateful for their being.
