John R. Lore, Sr., 80, of Lehigh Township, PA, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at his home.
Born May 9, 1942, in Phillipsburg, NJ, he was a son of the late George H. Lore, Sr. and Ethel (Brown) Lore.
He and his wife, Audrey L. (Clark) Lore, celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary on November 6, 2021.
He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War and was a disabled veteran.
John retired as truck driver from Main Trucking.
He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, camping, and singing.
John was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Palmerton.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Audrey, are six children, Doreen Wolfe and her husband Clarence, of Myrtle Beach, SC, Debbie Baltz, of Plainfield Township, Joseph Emanuel and his wife Tracy, of Danielsville, John Lore, Jr. and his wife Tina, of Emmaus, Joan Grube and Robin Lore, both of Forks Township; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and his beloved dog, Chloe. He was predeceased by three brothers, George, Jr., Stacy and Norman Lore and five sisters, Dorothy Gallegher, Evelyn Fucci, Marie Giamoni, Dora Dugan and Doris Graner.
Services will be held at 10am Thursday in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton Street, Wilson Borough. Call Thursday 9-10am in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
