John B. Loretoni, Sr., of Norwalk, pass away on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Wilton Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilton, CT.

Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Alberico and Amelia Loretoni.

John worked initially as a bricklayer in NY and then became the President of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftman Union in NY City and Long Island. After retiring John spent winter months in Orlando, Florida along with his wife, Tina, for 25 years. He was active in their homeowners association in Florida, participating in the Community Association social board, helping plan parties and special events. He loved his New York Yankees and would never miss a game. He enjoyed playing the game of golf until he was 90. He was devoted to spending time with family and friends, and was deeply rooted in his Catholic faith.

John in survived by his sons: John B. Loretoni, of Norwalk, CT., Rich and Susan Loretoni, of Milwaukee, WI., Vincent and Susan Loretoni, of New City, NY, Mike and Sharon Loretoni, of Danbury, CT. He is also survived by his sister, Anna Novello, of Mahopac, NY. In addition, his grandchildren, Keri Rozny, Vincent Loretoni, Kristen Symonette, Jillian Loretoni, Jade Gambino, and his great grandchildren, Kelsey and Ryan Rozny, Emmy and John Loretoni.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06851. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 31, at 10:00 AM at St Jerome Church, 23 Half Mile Road, Norwalk, CT 06851. Entombment will follow at St John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk, CT 06850.
