John J. Lukaszewski, 70, of Whiting, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Trenton, NJ, John has been a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Trenton High School, Class of '72. He retired from the State of New Jersey, Department of Agriculture, after 38 years of service. John was a social member of the Catholic War Veterans, a social member of the Polish Falcons, the Assistant Athletic Director of the Cook A.A., and a coach for the Chambersburg Little League. He enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with his wife, and Disney World with his son. His greatest joy in life though was dancing and playing with his granddaughter.
John was the son of the late Francis and Josephine (Calisti) Lukaszewski, and brother-in-law of the late Linda Kawalek.
He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years Mary Ann (Kawalek) Lukaszewski of Whiting, NJ, his son John J. Lukaszewski and his wife Bridget of Fairless Hills, PA, his beloved granddaughter Carli Ann Lukaszewski, his brother Rev. Stanley P. Lukaszewski of Lawrenceville, NJ, brother-in-law Kenneth W. Kawalek of Lawrenceville, NJ, niece and nephew Kelly and Eric Kawalek, great-nephew Dylan Kawalek, and many cousins and dear friends.
The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 24, 2025, at 10:30am at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church 4620 Nottingham Way Hamilton Square, NJ 08690. John's brother, Father Stanley Lukaszewski will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00am to 10:30am at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
