John Lukehart, 72, of Marshalltown, passed away on Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at Unity Point- Marshalltown.

John Lukehart was born on June 18, 1953 in Marshalltown. He was the son of Benjamin and Genevieve (Cope) Lukehart. John graduated from Marshalltown High School. He owned and operated his own painting business: First Class Painting in Marshalltown. John was a member of the Iowa Blues Society and was an avid guitar player. He played in several bands in the area, including One Shot Deal.
John is survived by his siblings: Linda Lukehart of Buffalo, New York; Terry Lukehart of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Jill Jamell of Cabot, Arkansas. John is preceded in death by his parents: Benjamin and Genevieve.
