John "Terry" Lyons, 66, of Springfield passed away peacefully on October 26, 2022.Terry was the son of the late Michael and Frances Lyons of Pittsburgh. As a young boy, Terry achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. He graduated from The University of Florida and received a Master's Degree from St. Joseph's University. Terry retired in 2017 after many years as a Safety Administrator at Aqua.He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He loved the beach, especially summers in Ocean City with his wife and family. Terry loved music, especially the Grateful Dead. He loved attending air shows and woodworking in his workshop.Beloved husband of MaryAnn Lyons (nee Dawson); Loving Father to John (Lindsay), Katie (Edwin), Tom (Dani); cherished Grandfather to Eleanor. Also survived by his sisters Jan Fleckenstein and Sharon Paul. He is predeceased by his brothers Michael and Patrick Lyons. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022 9 AM St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 136 Saxer Ave., Springfield, PA 19064 and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in the Church. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions to CADES (Children Adult Disability Educational Services) : Art Program, 401 Rutgers Ave., Swarthmore, PA 19081.
