John Maksym Obituary
Born June 27, 1957, in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of the late Leo J. and Carrie F. (Wray) Maksym.
Before retiring, John was an operator at Southernly Wastewater Treatment Plant in Cuyahoga Heights, OH for several years. In spare time, John enjoyed building model tanks and planes, woodworking, and fishing. He also loved to play video games, and collecting knives and anything associated with wolves.
John is survived by his beloved fiancée, Cindy Cato; his sons, Jonathan (Sara) Maksym and Thomas (Erin) Maksym; his daughter, Allison Maksym; grandchildren, Wednesday Austin, Charlie Lewis, and Justin Plonski. In addition to his immediate family, John is survived by his stepdaughters, Kendra (JC) Cato, Erica (Alec) Bottomlee, Nicky Casada, and Dreama Casada, along with numerous step-grandchildren. He is also remembered by his siblings, Paul (Debbie) Maksym, Val Maksym, and Ken (Joann) Maksym, as well as his cousin, Christine Bahidy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Per his family's wishes, no services will be held at this time. Baumgardner Funeral and Cremation Service, 134 Prospect Street, Andover, OH 44003, assisted the family with final arrangements.
