John J. Matuszek

John Matuszek (Dzadju), age 86, passed away August 28, 2022, while living with his son Brian and family in Florida.
John was born January 2, 1936, raised in Rhode Island with his parents and siblings until he met the love of his life and married Edwardine Leach in 1956. They lived in RI and Seekonk Mass where they raised 3 sons, Jack, Steven and Brian.
John and Edwardine lived a full happy life together watching their family grow as their sons gifted them with daughter-In-laws, 10 granddaughters, 2 grandson-in-laws, 3 great-granddaughters and 2 great-grandsons and all the extended family along the way they took into their hearts.
John worked hard to provide for his family and made sure he had the time to be involved in all his children's activities as well as his grandchildren's events. He and his wife traveled back and forth from Mass to Florida to visit family and friends and enjoy their retirement together soaking up the sun with their toes in the sand.
John made sure that all family members and friends had fun days at the Cape house and enjoyed building sandcastles with the children, clamming and fishing at the beach every chance he got.
He had seemingly endless patience teaching his children and grandchildren how to work hard and important life lessons with a sense of humor, and he always had a joke to tell to make you laugh.
After 62 yrs. of marriage, his loving wife, Edwardine passed away in 2018 and John chose to live with his son Brian and his family in Florida where he spent the rest of his life enjoying his family and trying to keep up with his daily activities while missing his wife dearly. He kept his faith in God strong with his daily prayers and now John is finally resting peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife, and God. He will be greatly missed as a pillar in the Matuszek family.
