Obituary
John H. McClendon II was born on December 8, 1967, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was the son of John McClendon I and Linda McClendon.
John accepted Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary in Indianapolis, Indiana.
John completed his primary and secondary education in the Indianapolis Public School System and graduated from Broad Ripple High School with the class of 1986. John went on to attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana where he pledged with the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, and received a bachelor's degree. He graduated with the Class of 1990. John also earned an M.B.A. from Northwestern University with the class of 1993.
John or "John John" or "Johnny Mac" as he was affectionately called by his family and his many friends, enjoyed international travels, watching and attending sports events, and cooking, especially grilling. He also had a passion for hosting really nice events. John was a member of 100 Black Men of America-Chicago Chapter.
John H. McClendon II departed this earthly life on October 25, 2023, at the age of fifty-five years, ten months, and seventeen days. He was preceded in death by his father, John H. McClendon, I; brother, Gregory McClendon; aunt, Debra Patterson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, J. Rogan McClendon; daughter, Kynasen Johnson; mother, Linda McClendon; sister, Melody "Mel" McClendon; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
