GREENFIELD - John F. Lewis McCracken, age 61, of Greenfield, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026. He was born in Logansport, Indiana on January 9, 1965, to Rev. David J. McCracken and Marsha Callane Staples.

After high school he worked for Tsubaki as a Supervisor/Maintenance of Conveyor Systems for 20 years, before retiring. Mr. McCracken was a motorcycle lover and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson and BMW Cycles. He enjoyed listening to the Grateful Dead, watching sports, and playing golf.

He is survived by his stepmother, Carolyn S. McCracken of Greenfield; children, Karen (Arnold) Hernandez of New Haven, Indiana, Lane McCracken of Lewisburg, Tennessee, and Holly (Jacob) Jensen of Bowling Green, Kentucky; grandchildren, Adrian, Jaxon, Veda, Avery, Lillian, Ellie-Mae, Emberleigh, Asher, Zoey, and Gemma; siblings, Craig (Morgana) McCracken of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Jay B. (Danelle) of Greenwood, Indiana, Brock H. (Jessica M.) McCracken of Fishers, Indiana, and Valerie (David) Ward of Lewisburg, Tennessee; sister-in-law, Lyne Racette-Healey; nieces and nephews, Rachel, Allison, Sean, David, Laken, Carmen, Emma, Quinten, Joshua, Zachary, Audrey, and Gabrielle; several great-nieces and great-nephews; mother of Karen and Lane, Janet Groves of New Haven, Indiana; and companion, Melissa Woodall of Hartford, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents; mother of Holly, Amelia (White) McCracken; and stepbrother, Kurtis Healey.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
