John Edward McMahon

John E. McMahon, age 83, of Atlantic Beach, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 6, 2024. John was the beloved husband of Margaret for 62 years. Devoted father to sons Brian and Christopher. Supportive father in law to Kelly. He was a loving grandfather to Alana, Wyatt and Jessica. Beloved uncle of Jimmy and Gerard. John was a very loyal and generous friend and family member. He spent his career as a Newspaper Pressman for the Local 2 Pressman's Union. Much of his 40 year career as a pressman was spent at the New York Post. He finished his career as the Union Chairman for the pressmen at the New York Post. He fought tirelessly in this role for his union workers every day until his retirement. John will forever be remembered for his loyalty and hard work.
