John A. Medeiros, 59, of Swansea, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Charlton Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family.
He was the loving husband of Diane (Carvalho) Medeiros.
Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Jose Medeiros, Jr. and Maria H. (Furnas) Medeiros.
John was a hardworking and dedicated individual who spent much of his career as a supervisor at Da Rocha's Landscaping, before retiring. Outside of his professional life, John was passionate about spending time in nature, enjoying activities like shell fishing. Above all, he cherished moments spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren, whom he adored. His love for the outdoors and his family was at the heart of everything he did, and those who knew him will always remember his kindness and devotion.
Along with his wife, John is survived by his sons Jason Medeiros (wife Katelyn) and Brandon Medeiros; his siblings Jose D. Medeiros (wife Sharon), Dimas Medeiros (wife Mandi), Lorena Botelho (husband John), Helen I. Medeiros (fiance Chris), and Susana Medeiros (fiance Drew); his grandchildren Ryder, Crew, and Sage; several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, February 28, 2025, beginning at 8 AM at the Oliveira Funeral Home - South Main St. Chapel, 2064 South Main St., Fall River.
His Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., Fall River. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
